I passed here in the early 80s some hot springs in Lukore when elephant Mohamed was still alive. The most breathe taking place for a therapeutic relaxation.

Stayed here over 30 years ago and still the most magical place I have ever stayed at. We were entertained in the evening by a visiting bush baby & woken from our sleep in the morning, by a family of elephants crunching on sugar cane. Very comfortable accommodation and the staff were very friendly, I doubt any that served us are still there now..... but I'd highly recommend this place, I would love to go back

Stayed here approx 25 yrs ago, the whole location, with its facilities was truly magical. The sugar bowls on the tables had lids to prevent the contents from being stolen by the wild life. It just encompassed the sights, sounds and aromas of Kenya. The staff made for a welcoming stay. As a lady that has worked within the NHS all her working life I have stayed in many environments, like I said earlier this experience it truly magical.

We stayed at Shimba Hills June 1988 while on honeymoon. It was probably the most enjoyable and relaxing of the 8 locations we stayed while touring Kenya and our top location for a return trip. It blends so beautifully in to the habitat. Brilliant.

In der Shimba Hills Lodge fühlt man sich wie zu Hause. Es ist ein Ort wo man vom Alltag abschalten und zur Ruhte kommen kann. Man wird herzlich umsorgt und auch das Essen ist vorzüglich.
Ich komme gerne immer wieder

We came 25 years today for our friends wedding in the treetops. It was a magical day, perfect for a romantic wedding. Maybe one day we can come back for a longer stay.

If you want to merge with nature and the animals , then this is the right place to do it . Gabriele is a wonderful manager and guest hostess! The dinner fantastic! A wonderful south african wine in the open restaurant - overlooking the wildlife at the waterhole - it could not be better! Ansante sana i´ll be back in january

I stayed at Shimba Hills Lodge in 1992 when I first visited Kenya. The hotel I stayed at in Mombassa organised the trip where I stayed for one night and sat out next to the watering hole having a superb dinner and watching animals visit the watering hole. I was so enthralled by this I sat up all night watching the animals visit as did many other guests. At approximately 6 am we were taken on a drive where we watched the sunrise and burn the mist off but the lasting image was of a Giraffe stood in the middle of the road blocking our jeep - the head and neck of the Giraffe was framed by a hole in the mist which felt amazing and magical.

This was my first Safari and I fell in love with going on Safari and seeing animals in their natural environment. I always feel that safaris are magical and very special.

I hope this type of stay is still available at Shimba Hills Lodge
